About Us Ana Cubas is the Founder, President and CEO. She is a professional who has over 20 years’ experience in the government, non-profit, and private sectors, with the unique connections and skills to bring together extraordinary projects and partnerships. Ana comes from an immigrant background, is the first in her family to graduate from college, and has devoted her life to helping others. Ana's mission is to focus on working with companies that spur job and economic development, that are socially conscious and are in the center of innovation. Ana's focus on the environment comes from her humble beginnings growing up in El Salvador, where she grew up in a small town with plenty of green spaces and clean air.
Her love for urban planning and public policy stems from her journey as a 10-year old immigrant growing up in Los Angeles, her activism at U.C. Berkeley, and her academic studies obtaining her Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning at Princeton University. Ana established her company in 2013 and officially incorporated in 2017. Our Team of Strategic Partners
We are a small but mighty team of professionals who are independent contractors and small women-owned businesses in our own right. We have worked in both the public and private sectors. We have worked for elected officials, non-profit organizations, and Federal, State and Local governments. That experience helps us interact skillfully with both the "grass roots and grass tops." Combined, we have over 50 years of experience delivering outstanding results and doing good work in the community. Maritza Baca, Social Media Director/Strategic Partner Maritza manages all social media and print strategies, including influencer partnerships and paid media that helps generate impressions, build brand awareness and increase outreach. Liliana Leon, Outreach Specialist Gloria has deep roots in the San Fernando Valley, having worked for various private and public institutions. She is bilingual, energetic, and a true community grassroots leader. Sarah Perez, Environmental Issues Manager Sarah is our expert on environmental issues and has worked both in research and at the community level. She manages our GIS projects. Project Experience
- CA Department of Public Health- Research, community outreach and event services for Statewide vaccination efforts with over 500 schools, churches, and community-based organizations.
- City of Los Angeles – Subconsultant with SGA for the Ready Your LA Neighborhood Marketing Services (awarded). Services included community outreach and media relations for Latino community/markets.
- LA Metro Countywide Planning RFP – Selected as one of the sub-contractors to AECOM for urban planning and community outreach.
- LA City Asset Management RFP Subconsultant with AECOM and Jacobs.
- Santa Monica College– As the in-house Government Affairs Manager for Vanir Construction Management Company, Ana Cubas successfully guided Vanir in its bid to win the program and construction management services for Santa Monica Community College’s (SMCCD) Bond Construction Program passed in November 2016 ($400 million).
- Los Angeles Streetcar Inc. (LASI), Los Angeles, CA. Ana Cubas Consulting Dba Mariposa served as the sub-consultant to selected team led by prime firm Mott MacDonald to deliver the 30% design plans for the downtown streetcar project. Task Lead for interagency coordination, stakeholder coordination and outreach.
- LA Metro Link Union Station, (Link US). Served as the in-house Project Manager and Task Lead for Public Outreach for HDR. Supervised all outreach activities, local government agency coordination, and Educational Component Plan.
